Diane Bowie Zaitlin mixed media artist
"Multiple Choice B" by Diane Bowie Zaitlin, encaustic collage, 24" x 24"
Purchase prize, 2012 Mill-ennial, Saco Museum, Saco, Maine
Diane Bowie Zaitlin's mixed media and encaustic paintings reveal her fascination with the power of color, sensuality of surface, and use of a veiled narrative.
Her imagery often refers to memory, choices, searching, and relationships,
often with a hint of landscape. She is especially attracted to the luminosity,
depth, and fluidity of encaustic that allows a natural combination of painting
and collage.
Diane recently received the purchase prize from the Saco Museum, Saco, Maine for the encaustic collage "Multiple Choice B". It was included in their Mill-ennial 2012 exhibit. The painting will be included in the museum's permanent collection.
